High above the Valley lies Chute Lake and from here it’s all downhill…from the cooler forests of the Highlands the trail now descends into vineyards, through tunnels and back into sunshine along the sparkling Okanagan Lake and the beaches of Naramata and Penticton.

From Penticton are “spur routes” leading from the shores of the Okanagan Lake along the Okanagan Channel, to Skaha Lake and futher south. You can cycle past Kaleden, Okanagan Falls and the lovely river trail to Oliver past wineries and orchards. Osoyoos is the southernmost destination and well known for its hot, dry summers.
